  • God and Country (Cub Scouts in Grades 4 and 5): Scouts participating in this religious emblem program will explore their relationship to the First Church of Christ, Scientist with requirements tied to the following topics:
    1. The Scripture and You:
      1. Bible knowledge including Church readings from the Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and Manual of the Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy
      2. Angels
      3. Verse Memorization
      4. Parables, including readings from Miscellaneous Writings by Mary Baker Eddy
      5. Healings, including discussions of Jesus and Science and Health
    2. The Church and You:
      1. Church history including the Bible and Science and Health as the pastor of the Christian Science Church
      2. Science and Health, including The Scientific Statement of Being
      3. Readings from the Bible and Christian Science Quarterly
      4. Meaning of Church membership, including readings from Christian Science Sentinel
  • God and Country (Boy Scouts): Scouts participating in this religious emblem program will explore their relationship to the First Church of Christ, Scientist with requirements tied to the following topics:
    1. Know the Scriptures
      1. Study the first tenet of Christian Science
      2. Daily readings from the Bible, Christian Science Quarterly and Manual of the Mother Church
    2. The Scriptures and You
      1. Old testament readings
      2. Readings on obedience, strength, and honesty
      3. Readings on temptations
      4. Readings on the disciples
    3. Church, the World, and You
      1. Readings about Science and Health including Retrospection and Introspection
      2. Obstacles faced by Mrs. Eddy in sharing her ideas
      3. The coming of the Comforter and healing
      4. Visit a Christian Science Reading Room
      5. Read about Prayer in Science and Health
      6. Read the "Historical Sketch" in the Church Manual, learn about rules and alertness to duty
      7. Read at least two articles from The Christian Science Monitor each week for three weeks and discuss its mission
